Lori has a Croptoberfest of challenges going on at the Apron Strings blog. The first challenge is in honor of her son's dinosaur pajamas: "create a layout that's inspired by them - the colors are browns, creams and greens (both moss and evergreen) and a touch of golds, with little dinosaurs all over them." As she didn't post a picture, the first thing that came to my mind was MY sons' dinosaur pajamas by Carter:
Those were the colors of a Cookie Jar Treat Lori sent me from the Croppy Summer Assignments and this is the LO I came up with:
I couldn't find the packet on the Apron Strings website, but the papers are from Cherry Art - Poolside. As an aside, I found these papers hard to work with: they are light weight and very silky - my scissors just slashed right through them. But I loved the colors and patterns so I just had to have a patient hand and refrain from trying to distress it too much. The blue and white brads and the orange circle came in the packet, along with the blue cardstock. The American Crafts Glitter Poolside Thickers came in the Mosh Posh July'10 kit.
However, if I had seen Lori's son's pajama pictures, which she posted later, I would probably have come up with something entirely different!
I had some leftover scraps and I used them for the sketch No 36 challenge at Tuesday Trio.
The ribbon also came in the Apron Strings packet. The buttons, twine and Thickers are from my stash. I added some Mod Podge - glitter - to the buttons so they would sparkle like the alphas. The sketch is below and the challenge was not to use red, orange or pink in your creation.

I love that you pulled on the blues and greens in a different way - focusing on those instead of the browns and creams! Nice job.
