busy busy

Apron Strings Birthday Party Day #3make your journaling more than an afterthought. Here is my LO, with journaling in a eye-catching spot. I also wrote my journaling as a message to my oldest son, instead of in the third person - something I don't do very often.
Echo Park - Wintertime - craft kit; American Craft cardstock; Offray ribbon; Creative Impressions bling.

Apron Strings Birthday Party #4: create a LO with your chosen ingredients. From the list in this post I chose: carrot cake, Fudge, chocolate, icing lettering. I have to say I was hoping carrot was going to be kraft cardstock... but Lori sprung the following on me:
- Carrot - Orange cardstock
- Fudge - patterned paper with lines or stripes
- Chocolate - Ribbon
- Icing Lettering - Rub-on Alphabet

So I had to look for some pictures that went with orange, and this is what I came up with:
Core'dinations cardstock (scored and sanded); Little Yellow Bicycle - Boardwalk - papers; sassafras Lass felties; Offray ribbon; DCWV Stitch In Time Alphabet Rub-Ons (I didn't have enough Gs... but 6 and 9 worked fine); unknown floss. Buttons by My Little Bit of Whimsy.

As you can see Lori is keeping me busy... I feel like I'll be caught up on my backlog of photos by the end of Apron Strings' birthday celebration, but a year in a month might be too much to ask ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

I love this page, and thanks for sharing "scoring and sanding" with me, what a great idea!

Great LO. I, too, love the idea of scoring and sanding. I just bought some core'dinations paper, so this is perfect timing!

I have core dinations paper and didn't really know what to do with it! Thanks for the idea.

I also like how you wrote to your son. That is a great way to journal.
