Our pool
I was having a hard time picking patterned paper for these pictures for some reason. I think it was because of the pink undertone of the the old pool deck color. So I decided to use pre-embossed cardstock (Core'dinations/Jillibean Soup) instead. I really liked the more subtle look.
The blue cardstock is also by Core'dinations and the patterned paper is Jillibean Soup (Watermelon Gazpacho). The stamps are by Jillibean Soup/Unity (Sending Happy Thoughts set). Other: American Crafts Thickers, Scenic Route alpha stickers, Doodlebug gems, Colorbox chalk ink (Blackbird) Jillibean Soup corrugated shape (Houses), mini-alphas (Apple Cheddar) and Soup Labels (Christmas Eve Chowder). This LO was based on the sketch by Julie Bonner for Jillibean Soup:
As you can see, I rotated it 90 degrees and stretched it to a 2-pager.

Petaloo Butterflies, Martha Stewart butterfly edge punch, Scenic Route alphas, Stickles (diamond), Uni-ball Signo gel pen, unknown cardstock.

SWS #10: Lucky U
There is a new Stamping with Sami Challenge posted today on the SP Stamps blog. The theme this week is: Lucky/St. Patrick's Day. The rules for the SWS challenges are posted here.
For my card I tried something clean & simple for a change. I used the new Lucky Mini Stamp Set that came out in February:
I stamped on SU! Whisper White cardstock with SU! GArden Green Classic ink. I stamped the sentiment twice, then cut out the "U" of the second one.
Other: Washi tape (thanks iCopic!), American Crafts glitter mini-brads, Martha Stewart butterfly edge punch, WRMK corner chomper, Sticky Thumb foam squares, Tombow mono multi glue.
I hope you get a chance to check out the SP Stamps blog and play with this week's SWS Challenge!

LO & card
This is the last week of birthday challenges over at the Apron Strings blog and this is one that I could not resist challenge #19: create a layout and then create a card from your scraps.
I used October Afternoon papers (Ducks in a Row and Fly a Kite) and journaling cards (Sidewalks), American Crafts foam Thickers, WRMK variegated floss, Colorbok cardstock, ColorBox chalk ink (Blackbird), and EK Success edge punch. This is another LO where I got creative with the foam letters: I cut a "z" into an "e" and turned "8" into "s." Foam Thickers are my favorite!
This LO was based on the Page Maps sketch posted on Feb 13:
And here is the card I made with the scraps:
I used a sentiment from the Round Sentiments I SP& Co. stamp set.
